How is God calling you now at this stage in your life? Are you seeking spiritual nourishment? Perhaps you are a pastor, a spiritual director, or a ministry leader looking to refill your well? Perhaps you are in a period of discernment, seeking the next steps on your journey. Perhaps you would like some quiet time to spend with God. Perhaps you are seeking rest and restoration. Perhaps it’s time to book your annual retreat. We invite you to discern God’s invitation to you through the tools of the spirituality of Ignatius of Loyola. Learning to discern gives us clarity and freedom in our spiritual journey and in life. 
 
This weekend retreat will offer inspiring inputs, periods of silence for personal prayer, small group spiritual conversation, and optional individual spiritual direction. We will engage art, music, poetry, scripture, film, and time in nature. 
 
The Bethlehem Centre is offering new ways to make retreats more affordable: with payment plans, shared accommodations (bring a friend, sister, or partner), commuting rates, and some programs that are subject to early bird discounts. Plus, now there is a high-speed ferry from downtown Vancouver to downtown Nanaimo and a 10% discount on A/C taxis from the ferry to the centre.

from St. Ignatius of Loyola

Talk for young adults

This talk took place on Sunday, March 2.  St. Mark’s Parish

with Fr. Andrew Laguna, SJ and Fr. Edmund Lo, SJ.

Fr. Edmund and Fr. Andrew shared some of the wisdom of St. Ignatius of Loyola regarding how to become more aware of God’s will for one’s life, a process known as discernment. This knowledge is a gift to the Church and is especially helpful for young people making life decisions like careers, marriage, religious vocation, etc. .

Catherine Kelly, Director of Spiritual Formation at St. Mark’s Parish – UBC, Vancouver, Canada welcomes Jesuit Fathers Andrew Laguna and Edmund Lo to teach us about discernment using the spiritual tools of St. Ignatius of Loyola.  Listen to the talk here:
