Service opportunities.

At St. Mark’s Parish, we are a small Parish with many growing needs.  

From providing a welcoming space for people to meet, teaching ministries, or serving a our Sunday masses, service opportunities are available in the following ministries:

Liturgy

Greeters

    – A greeter offers a warm welcome, creating a first impression of hospitality, belonging, and openness.

Extraordinary Ministries

    – Lectors, Altar servers, Eucharistic Ministers are welcome to join for all masses

Music Ministry

    – We are always welcoming instrumentalists and vocalists to join our music ministry for the 9:30am, 11:30am, and 4:30pm masses.

     1. SERVERS for food and snacks after Sunday masses (9:30am, 11:30am, 4:30pm), 

2. HELPERS for setup and cleanup of Plato’s cave .  Read more here….

Social Service

Visitation of the long term care patients at Purdy Pavillion on the UBC Campus and of patients at St. John’s Hospice.

Volunteer Screening

To ensure the safety of our community, especially the vulnerable, minors and the volunteer themselves, we require the volunteers undergo a brief training session and screening.  For more information, please contact the Parish office at parish.smark@rcav.org
